Do you offer product consultations?

Yes. We offer support with product selection, fittings, education, troubleshooting, and funding guidance. Appointments are recommended so we can provide dedicated time and personalized support.

Do I need an appointment?

Walk-ins may be available, but appointments are recommended for compression fittings, ostomy support, incontinence consultations, mobility equipment guidance, and funding-related questions.

Products & Fittings

Can you help me choose the right incontinence product?

Yes. We can help with product type, absorbency level, sizing, fit, leakage concerns, overnight needs, and sample options when available.

Do you help with ostomy supplies?

Yes. We can assist with pouching system options, accessory education, product compatibility, leakage troubleshooting, skin barrier options, and ordering support.

Do you offer compression fittings?

Yes. We offer support with ready-to-wear compression measurements, fit checks, product education, and guidance on proper donning and doffing. Custom compression products may require additional measurements and processing time.

Can you help with braces and supports?

Yes. We can help customers select braces and supports for knees, ankles, wrists, back, shoulders, and other needs based on product features, fit, and general support requirements.

Can you help with walkers, bathroom safety, and mobility products?

Yes. We can help customers choose mobility aids, walkers, rollators, canes, bath chairs, transfer benches, raised toilet seats, commodes, and other safety products based on general needs and product features.

Funding & Insurance

Do you support AADL, NIHB, WCB, Veterans Affairs, or private insurance?

We provide support and guidance for funding programs such as AADL, NIHB, WCB, Veterans Affairs Canada, Greenshield, and private insurance where applicable. Coverage depends on the program, product, eligibility, documentation, and approval requirements.

Is funding or insurance coverage guaranteed?

No. Funding and insurance approvals are determined by the funding provider or insurer. 1st AB Med Supplies cannot guarantee approval, reimbursement amount, processing timelines, or eligibility.

What should I bring for a funding-related appointment?

Please bring any prescriptions, referrals, approval letters, benefit cards, claim numbers, insurance details, or product information you have available.

Shipping, Returns & Orders

Do you ship across Canada?

Yes. We ship across Canada using trusted carriers. Delivery times vary depending on destination, product availability, carrier timelines, and weather or service disruptions.

Do you ship internationally?

We may ship select products internationally where legally permitted. International customers are responsible for customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, import permits, documentation, and regulatory or prescription requirements in their country.

Can customs delay international shipments?

Can I return medical supplies?

Some unopened and unused items may be eligible for return within the return window. However, many healthcare and personal-use products cannot be returned once opened, worn, used, altered, or removed from original packaging due to health and safety reasons.

What products are usually non-returnable?

Non-returnable products may include incontinence products, ostomy supplies, catheters, wound care products, compression garments, braces and supports, PPE, custom items, special orders, clearance items, and products marked final sale or non-returnable.
