The BD PrecisionGlide Hypodermic Needle delivers reliable, consistent performance for clinical and home care use. Crafted from stainless steel with a tri-beveled, non-coring design, each needle undergoes a specialized grinding and polishing process to ensure exceptional sharpness and smooth, comfortable penetration. The translucent, color-coded polypropylene hub makes gauge identification quick and effortless, reducing the risk of error during use.
Each needle features a universal fit and arrives individually sterile-packaged in an easy-to-peel blister pack. Packages can also be re-sterilized using ethylene oxide (EtO) when required.
These needles feature a Regular Wall, Short Bevel configuration. Here is what that means for your care:
- Regular Wall: The most widely used wall thickness in hypodermic needles. The steel wall provides a dependable flow rate while maintaining structural integrity, minimizing flexing during insertion into a vial stopper or during patient use.
- Thin Wall (for reference): A Thin Wall needle has the same outer diameter as its Regular Wall equivalent but features a larger inner diameter, allowing the same flow volume as a Regular Wall needle one gauge larger. For example, a 21G Thin Wall needle flows comparably to a 20G Regular Wall needle.
